Winemakers Notes

Opening a chilled bottle unleashes a floral arrangement of orange blossom, night blooming jasmine and honeysuckle that remind of an early summer day here on the Central Coast. As it warms, tropical notes of papaya, dragon fruit and honeydew emerge followed by hints of dried straw and beeswax. The palate is complex, as the nose has tart and candied fruit flavors like Granny Smith apple, candied orange, a wisp of lemon-lime zest and a tropical undercurrent intermingle while a subtle hint of honeycomb interjects. On the nose aromas of melon, honeysuckle, and cider are followed by the signature scent of petrol. These scents are carried into the palate as flavors of pear and apple are met with a pleasing compliment of orange, rind-like bitterness, and honeysuckle.
