Glunz Family Winery Paso Robles Edna Valley Chardonnay
Bianca’s Blend Chardonnay is sourced from Greengate Vineyard in Edna Valley. As you may know, Paso Robles is very warm during the growing season, which Chardonnay does not enjoy. Chardonnay generally prefers a cool climate and a long growing season. The temperature in Edna Valley rarely exceeds 75 degrees and is about 3 miles from the ocean, perfect for these grapes. The Chardonnay was hand harvested and whole cluster pressed. It was then transferred to French oak (40% new oak) where it fermented and aged for 12 months. This wine is bright and fresh with lots of citrus and tropical fruit notes and finishes with a nice touch of vanilla and toast.
